Shangri-La village
At Eztia Temple

A Living Village in the Heart of Puna
The Soul Emerges Where the Land is Free.
Shangri-La is a high-frequency node on the Earth’s grid. Nestled on raw, vibrant land in the heart of Puna, Hawaii, our village is an emergent sanctuary dedicated to the liberation of the land and the restoration of the human spirit. We are a community of families, artists, and stewards building a new way of being.

Building on Raw Land
We are an up-and-coming village, currently in the sacred process of birthing our infrastructure from the raw lava and lush jungle of Puna. To be part of Shangri-La is to be a pioneer of the New Earth. We are building:
-
The Temple Center: A communal space for dance, ceremony, and collective healing.
-
The Living Roots: Family-centered dwellings integrated into the landscape.
-
The Womb Gardens: Food forests and medicinal apothecaries that serve as our primary source of health.

The 2026 Residency: Two Spots Available
Starting this fall, we invite two dedicated practitioners to join us in these rhythms. You will be fully immersed in the building of the Shangri-La infrastructure while being held by the container of the weekly council and communal rituals.
-
Learn to Resolve Conflict Consciously: Master the art of communication in a high-stakes, high-love environment.
-
Practice Sovereignty within Community: Discover how to maintain your individual soul-path while being an essential node in the village grid.

The Pillars of Our Village
1. Temple Arts & Family Life We believe that the home is a temple and family is the first circle of ceremony. At Shangri-La, we combine the daily rhythms of child-rearing and community living with the Temple Arts. Life here is an ongoing initiation, where creativity, movement, and devotion are woven into the fabric of our everyday existence.
2. Sovereign Stewardship Our primary focus is the health and vitality of the Earth. We don't just "own" land; we are in the active practice of liberating it.
-
Restoration: Tending to the raw volcanic soil and native flora.
-
Reciprocity: Living in a way that gives back more to the ecosystem than we take.
-
The Earth as Physician: Designing our village to be a place where the land’s natural frequency heals those who walk upon it.
3. A Sanctuary for Soul Emergence Shangri-La is a "Node of Return." It is a protected space—a sanctuary—where the noise of the modern world falls away, allowing the true Soul to emerge. We provide the container for residents and visitors to reconnect with their Monadic roots and remember their original purpose.

The Rhythms of Shangri-La: Life in the Village

Living at Shangri-La is a commitment to a weekly rhythm that keeps the heart of the village beating in unison. We don’t just live near each other; we live with each other, using time-tested tools to maintain the frequency of our sanctuary.
The Weekly Pillars of Connection
-
Weekly Village Council: This is our cornerstone for conscious relating. Council is where we meet heart-to-heart to share our visions, align our goals, and resolve conflict with transparency and grace. It is our practice of staying "current" so the village energy remains clear and vibrant.
-
The Village Potluck: Every week, we gather around the hearth to share the literal fruits of the land. Our community dinner is a time for storytelling, laughter, and the simple, sacred joy of feeding one another.
-
Temple & Land Work: A major piece of the residency is the physical and energetic tending of the land. This is "work-as-play"—whether we are clearing invasive species, planting food forests, or maintaining the temple spaces, we do it as an act of devotion and stewardship.
-
Weekly Temple Space: A dedicated time for the Temple Arts. This is where we move, meditate, and engage in the soul initiation practices of Monadic Medicine as a collective.
